Jewelry Care
Sterling Silver s a precious metal alloy composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% additional metals to provide strength and durability.
With regular, consistent wear your sterling silver jewelry should retain its shine. Please note that over time oxidation can occur.
It’s best to store your sterling silver jewelry in the enclosed air-tight plastic bag with your anti-tarnish tab in between wears to keep it looking bright.
Please use the enclosed polishing cloth to wipe your jewelry clean. For a deeper clean a mixture of warm water and gentle dish soap can be used. A gentle silver cleaner may also be used to restore your jewelry to it’s original shine.
The best alternative to pure gold, 14K Gold Filled Jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold mechanically pressure bonded to a base metal. It requires that 1/20th or 5% of the piece is pure gold by weight. This thick outer layer of gold makes it highly durable and safe for people with allergies or sensitive skin.
While gold filled jewelry requires less care than other materials it’s best to rinse your gold filled jewelry with warm water and or gently wipe it down after wear with the enclosed soft polishing cloth. Avoiding contact with extremely harsh
chemicals is recommended.
Plating is a process where a thin layer of gold or silver is bonded onto a base metal.
Our pieces are plated with 2-3 microns of 14K Gold or Silver plate to ensure longevity.
To clean, wipe your jewelry gently with a damp cloth or the enclosed polishing cloth. For a deeper clean a mixture of warm water and gentle dish soap can be used.
